Manchester Tank Quincy Holds Team Appreciation Luncheon
August 12, 2014
On July 31, Manchester Tank & Equipment Company located in Quincy, Illinois (MTQ) held a team appreciation luncheon for the entire team. During lunch, MTQ General Manager Jason Eads gave team members a mid-year report and thanked them for a fantastic year so far.
Jason outlined SQDC which is the driving attribute at Manchester. SQDC stands for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost and Safety takes its rightful place as the number one principle. Manchester strives to improve safety during the work day by providing team training and continuous improvements to the plant. Quality products are also essential to increasing both sales and customer satisfaction. Manchester’s Quality Department is always working to improve the manufacturing processes, parts, and supplier relationships. On time delivery of parts is also necessary for both internal orders to production lines and external orders to customers. Finally, cost is a large factor in determining whether a customer will purchase their products. More importantly, increasing productivity and working with suppliers to control costs will help MTQ remain competitive.
If the team remains focused on SQDC, MTQ will continue to have a successful year!
