Shokstop Placement Data (see Fig. 2)
On multiple fixture branch lines up to 20 feet long, the Shokstop should be installed on the branch line between the last two fixtures being served. The Shokstop should have a Fixture-Unit rating equal or greater than the total Fixture-Units connected to the branch line.

On multiple fixture branch lines over 20 feet long, two Shokstops should be used on each line with the second unit placed at the line's midpoint. The Fixture-Unit rating of both Shokstops should be equal or greater than the total Fixture-Units connected to the branch line.

Shokstop Sizing

Single and Multiple Fixture Branch Lines
The Shokstop sizing procedure described below conforms to Plumbing and Drainage Institute Standard PDI-WH201. Shokstop selection is based on total Fixture-Units on each branch line.


Fixture-Unit Listing
Determine the total number of Fixture-Units on each branch line by

Shokstop Selection
Refer to table 3 and select the Shokstop model with proper fixture-unit capacity.

If a battery of fixtures is longer than 20 feet, more than one Shokstop will be required.
