McWane Opens Manufacturing Facility in Abu Dhabi

We are proud to announce that McWane opened its newest manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi on October 26. This facility will join McWane's 26 other manufacturing facilities worldwide. McWane’s Chairman Phillip McWane and CEO Ruffner Page participated in the festivities. The following dignitaries played a part in the grand opening:
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Young and Community Development of UAE inaugurated the $28 million facility.
The Honorable U.S. Ambassador to UAE, Barbara Leaf inaugurated the McWane Gulf office building.
Eng. Talal Al Adhena, Under Secretary Quality Control Department, Ministry of Public Works Department from Kuwait did the ceremonial starting of the shot blast machine.
Dr. Ali Sherif Abedel Fayad, Assistant Minister for Development from Egypt did the ceremonial starting of the Mazak CNC machine.
Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Ramadhan Juma, Owner of distribution network in UAE and Saudi did the ceremonial starting of the paint coating machine.
Mohammad A. Abbas, General Manager from Nesma Saudi Arabia did the ceremonial starting of the cast iron pipe finishing machine.
McWane established its new Gulf division to serve the growing demand for McWane bands like Kennedy Valve, Tyler Pipe and Wade Drains, in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. McWane Gulf will produce water, plumbing and sewer products to international specifications, including ductile iron fittings, valves and hydrants, drainage products and soil pipe fittings and couplings.
The McWane Gulf operation will employ around 70 skilled workers once the plant is in full operation.
