Introducing Garrett Jensen, Winner of One of the 2015 McWane Scholarships
May 18, 2015
Garrett Jensen is the proud winner of one of the ten 2015 McWane Scholarships and the son of McWane Ductile-Utah team member John K. Jensen. Garrett is one of the best kids you’ll probably ever meet. He has always been a very hard worker and has strived for excellence in everything he does.
At Summit Academy High School, Garrett has maintained a 3.98 GPA through 4 years and is ranked in the top five in his class. He has accepted admittance to the University of Utah where he plans to study medicine and become a surgeon.
Garrett was recently awarded Academic All-State for soccer, which is quite an accomplishment considering he carried 4 AP classes, played soccer and worked about 20 hours a week. He is also an accomplished pianist, Eagle Scout, soccer player and soon to be missionary at a church in Honolulu Hawaii.
Garrett’s parents are very proud of him, as are we at McWane, and he is very grateful to McWane for offering him this great scholarship to help him reach his goals.
